So, the son has long been interested in cryptology. Books and books on it. Artemis Fowl books read and decrypted. Game cheat codes. Crptyograms. You name it.
He told me yesterday that they discussed working for the government in his class yesterday. He thinks he wants to go to school to learn cryptology and forensic science and be a CIA agent or FBI agent one day. I asked if he was interested in it from a military aspect, but he wasn't. I know he had talked about forensic science in the past when he got hooked on CSI and NCIS.
But now he wants to be a cryptologist, decrypting secret codes and things.
He's 12 and he already knows what he wants to do with his life. I admire that. I admire the passion with which he talks about it. I'm 38 and I still don't know what I want to do! LOL.
He wants to go the police academy route, he thinks. This could be interesting. :-)
